You know you have a true friend when they can remind you of who you are in the middle of your becoming someone else, pull you back, and get you to look at yourself.

It isn’t always easy, or painless, or fun. Sometimes that’s what it takes though, and when those times come your best assets are the people who know you - especially the ones that know parts of you that you fail to perceive.

We learn more for being mindful of our interactions with the ones we love than reflection within ourselves alone, and sitting in solitude can never come close to to actually touching the world and opening your heart. When we’re hurt, or alone, or depressed, it’s the most important thing, and the one we tend to shy away from the most. Don’t back away from the things you love, or the things that love you, or you’ll lose your sense of place in this world and forget who you are.
